On Saturday, China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken during a meeting in Nusa Dua.
China and US
Wang and Blinken talked to calm growing problems between America and Chine to boost their economy.
Blinken and Wang talk over a variety of controversial problems, from human rights, trade, and tariffs to the Taiwan and South China Sea dispute.
2 days ago, top military officials from both countries faced Taiwan in a virtual conference. The American officials said beforehand that they do not want a breakthrough when Wang meets the Blinken.
However, they hoped the dialogue would help to continue lines of communication and make “guardrails” to direct the two biggest economies of the world.
China and the US are in an increasingly challenging position in Russia and Ukraine war, and some fears may cause mistakes and conflict.
The US carefully noted that China declined to condemn Russia's aggression. However, China condemned Western sanctions against Russia and accused NATO and the US of aggravating the war.
America wants that China, which has long opposed interference in internal affairs, to take a similar stance on Ukraine.
