On Tuesday, Ilhan Omar's associates told WCCO that the police arrested Ilhan Omar, Speier, Tlaib, Ocasio-Cortez, and others while protesting outside the Supreme Court.
The protest was in response to the recent Supreme Court ruling about Roe v. Wade.

Ilhan Omar is a famous American politician who has been a member of the US House of Representatives in Minnesota's 5th congressional district since 2019.
Omar later tweeted that she was arrested "while participating in a civil disobedience action.” She added that she will resume this protest to warn against violations of our reproductive rights.

In a recent interview, Omar said that she received a ticket to pay a $50 fine. Her photo was also preserved during arrest, but no fingerprint.
Missouri Congressman Corey Bush tweeted her photo and photos of Rashida Tlaib, Ayanna Pressley, Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, and Omar at the protest, but then she deleted the tweet.

The US Police confirmed that 34 people, with 16 Congressmembers, were arrested during the protest. The protesters were arrested for blocking Northeast First Street, police said.
According to police, blocking traffic is illegal, and they issued three standard alerts before arresting protesters who refused to leave the road.
