Tesla has reintroduced the Enhanced Autopilot option, and removed almost all features from its Full Self-Driving (FSD) package.

Tesla Enhanced Autopilot Cost

The updated Autopilot costs $6k, exactly half the price than the Tesla's FSD package.

Tesla EAP Option

Former Tesla owners are familiar with EAP and its functions. Enhanced Autopilot, which was an option in the US a few years ago, eliminated when Tesla rebuilt the DAS option in 2019.

Autopilot Option- Before 2019

Before 2019, Tesla didn't have Autopilot functionality in its cars, but proposed two paid add-ons: FSD and Enhanced Autopilot.

Tesla Basic Autopilot

In 2019, Tesla launched basic Autopilot, which was standard on all vehicles.

Basic autopilot contains lane keeping and traffic-aware cruise control, which keeps the car moving on the road.

Autopilot Option- Car

As the Tesla launched Basic Autopilot, Enhanced Autopilot was detached as an option, making the FSD package the only add-on.

Cost of FSD Package

The Tesla increases the cost of FSD package by increasing its features. After an increase in price in January 2022, FSD is now available in the US for $12k.

As automakers continue to miss deadlines to make this happen, Tesla is gradually moving some advanced Autopilot features into the FSD package and removed Enhanced Autopilot
