United States men's basketball Beats Cuba in World Cup qualifier

People cheer "The Star-Spangled Banner" before the America Independence Day basketball game in Cuba. Then the US people celebrated the vacation with a big victory.

Xavier Munford scored twenty-four points, while on Monday night, the United States beat Cuba 87-64 to complete the 1st round to qualify for the upcoming Basketball World Championship.

Jim Boylen said, "it's emotional to play on the Fourth of July."

"It's emotional to be here with this group of guys, with USA across our chests. It's a big day. Our country is 246 years old today and we're just thankful for this moment together."

Munford achieves 10-12 off the field in Team USA. He took 12points from John Jenkins, 13 points by Justin Jackson, and 10 points each from Langston Galloway and Will Davis.

Jordan Bell had 6 assists and 8 rebounds for the United States, setting the pitch ahead of the 2nd round of qualifying.

They go into the second round with a 5-1 record and take an even bigger step for USA Basketball qualification into the Paris 2024 Olympics in a bid to qualify for the World Cup.

The US will start 2nd round of World Cup qualifiers on August 25th. The first game will take place in Las Vegas against Uruguay.
