US Supreme Court- Roe v. Wade

When the court went on its summer break on Friday, the hottest judgment overturned Roe v. Wade and struck down constitutional safeties on abortion.

Abortion Ruling

In the 5-4 ruling, the Supreme Court overturned the historic case of Roe v. Wade in 1973 that the federal government would protect women's abortion rights.

That decision was long overdue after Politico leaked the draft decision in May. The ruling of the court left abortion rights to be fixed at the state level.

Miranda right

On Thursday, the Supreme Court ruled that suspects cannot prosecute officers who failed to notify them of their rights to remain silent about the damage.

Second Amendment

The Court overturned New York State's gun statute, passed more than 100 years ago, restricting bringing hidden handguns outside the home.

Judge Clarence Thomas wrote by a majority of 6-3 opinion that the Constitution defends the right to bear guns outside the house.

Supreme Court Ruling- Firing Squad

On Thursday, Supreme Court ruled in support of a Georgian convict on death row who attempted to kill by firing squad, despite state's destructive injection protocol.
